Weekly update :D

Hello, not a lot of interesting things happened last week. Other then a killer toothache.

How your baby's growing:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

How far along: 23 weeks 1 Days

Food cravings: None really.
Food aversions: None this week :D
Gender: Its a boy!!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out?: Innie
What I miss: Nothing much really. LOL

SORRY!

I've been slacking, I know, but I have good reason, I've been preparing for Ray to come home! He came home on monday due to Marine Corps disorganization and sadly, might have to leave again at the end of the month. *sad face* But if he does leave, it should be only for a few weeks.. :D LOL, but other then that, I don't really remember much of last week, but as of sunday, I'm 22 weeks.

Bye bye toes!

Your pregnancy: 22 week

How your baby's growing:

At 11 inches ( the length of a spaghetti squash ) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

How far along: 22 weeks 3 Days
Total weight gain/loss: um... I haven't really been keeping track.
Maternity clothes?: Shirts mostly. I totally bought some cute maternity stuff last night on Oldnavy.com
Stretch marks?: None other than the ones on my hips and nipples.
Sleep: Tons. LOL In bed at 9, awake at 5.
Best moment this week: Seeing the smile on Ray's face when he felt Koen move. :D
Movement: Not alot, but he has been moving. :D
Food cravings: None really.
Food aversions: None this week :D
Gender: Its a boy!!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out?: Innie
What I miss: Nothing much really. LOL
What I am looking forward to: Shopping with my birthday moolahs. LOL
Milestones: Um... LOL

A good ending to a loooong week.

Monday was slow because it was the day before payday. Tuesday, however, was better. One, it was my mom's birthday(Happy birthday mom!) and two, it was pay day. I went to target with the giftcards that my best friend, Caitlin, gave me for Koen and bought a bunch of stuff. It was nice to get out the house and do some shopping after being stuck in the house for the last week. I got an electric and manual breast pump(which I had a dream about the next night) as well as some pooh things and wash stuff. It was fun shopping. :D Wednesday was slow but I got Asher signed up for puppy class(which he starts in 11 days. But who's counting, right?). He needs the interaction desperately and luckily, the same day(the 16th) he gets his final set of shots so he can be taken to the beach as well as the dog parks out in town without fear of him getting sick!

Thursday was fun because my kitty arrived! His plane got in a hour late and he was scared and a bit dehydrated, but the next day he was doing just fine, which made me happy.

Friday was my favorite day of the week, I got to see my little boy again. He is doing well and growing just fine and fast! The ultrasound tech said he was weigh at 14oz! A whole 5 days ahead of what he should be! But as long as he is healthy, I really don't mind! She told me he had to be 12 days ahead to change my due date, but not to be surprised if he comes a couple days early. :D Saturday was another slow day, nothing to exciting happened, just kind of sat around and chilled. :)

But today is my 21st week and bump shot day now. :D so yay! I'm slowly saying good bye to my toes, see you in a few months!

Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in taste they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.
